This essential module addresses the risks of occupational infections among healthcare workers, combining evidence-based strategies with practical solutions. Through expert-led sessions, participants will explore:

  • Key threats (TB, hepatitis/HIV, influenza, emerging pathogens)
  • Prevention tools (PPE, vaccination, environmental controls)
  • Innovative approaches (risk assessment, surveillance, safety culture, technology)

Featuring international faculty and real-world case studies, the program enables teams to reduce infections while balancing staff well-being and operational realities.
The estimated total time for the course is 20 to 25 hours.

Objectives:

The "HealthCare Worker Safety: Prevention of Occupational Infections in Clinical Settings" module aims to enhance awareness, knowledge, and practical skills related to preventing and managing occupational infections in healthcare environments. This program brings together experts to discuss key infectious risks, risk assessment strategies, the role of personal protective equipment, vaccination, environmental controls, and training initiatives. By focusing on real-world case studies and emerging innovations, the module aims to equip healthcare professionals with the tools they need to create a safer working environment for both staff and patients and reduce infection risks.
