Here are some key facts that you should know to get you started: 

1. You need to create an ESCMID web user account (free) or hold an ESCMID membership to register for ESCMID Global.
2. Both onsite and online tickets are available. Onsite tickets also include access to all online material as well.
3. ESCMID members can get discounted tickets.
4. Discounts for early bookings for both ESCMID members and non-members are available.

If you would like to add any special workshops to your existing registration, please follow the steps below.

1. Log in via the “Individual Registration” using the same email address you used for your congress registration to access your personal space.
2. There, you will see an overview of the tickets you have already booked.
3. To add workshops, click “Buy” at the top of the page next to the shopping cart.

Please make sure not to book any overlapping courses, as you can only attend one course per time slot.

Registrations received by email are subject to an administration surcharge of 20 EUR (€) per person. Therefore, we encourage you to use the online registration system that is safe, quick, easy and also gives you immediate confirmation along with the invoice.

Upon receipt of the registration fee, participants will receive a confirmation of registration. 

Online participation: Instructions and log-in details for online access will be provided by email to registered participants at several points leading up to the congress.

All ESCMID Global fees are in euros (EUR, €). For individual registration, payment is only possible by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). 

A registration is only valid after it is confirmed by email following receipt of the full payment by the indicated deadline. A copy of the bank transfer or other proof of payment will be required if registration fees were not credited to the ESCMID Global account on time.

During your online registration, you can enter a separate invoice address if needed. Any changes of the invoice address after completing your registration incurs a processing charge of 30 EUR (€).

ESCMID Global – Luggage Policy

To ensure safety and smooth access for all participants, a strict luggage policy will apply during the five congress days.

Each attendee may only bring the following items into the venue:

• 1 small bag with a maximum size of 45 × 36 × 20 cm (backpack, laptop bag, or handbag - no wheels, no suitcase)
• 1 carry-on sized suitcase or travel bag with a maximum size of 55 × 42 × 26 cm (bags will need to fit the onsite bag sizers)

A maximum of two items is allowed per person.

• If you carry both a backpack and a handbag, no suitcase or additional item may be brought inside.

All larger items must be stored in the cloakroom. Under no circumstances will large luggage be permitted inside the venue.

• Cloakroom use is free of charge, but waiting times may occur.
• No exceptions will be made – this rule applies to all categories of participants, including faculty, press and exhibitors.

Exhibitors who need to bring in materials must refer to the Technical Manual or contact the Sponsoring Department in advance for delivery instructions.

All cancellations must be sent to escmidregistration(at)escmid.org. Cancellations are not possible for online registrations.

Participants have the right to cancel their registration within 14 days from the receipt of the registration invoice email. The right of withdrawal is lost if the participant attends the congress before the expiry of the right of withdrawal.

Changes and/or cancellations are not possible on online registration tickets. 

Name changes are possible until 10 April 2026. Each name change is subject to a handling fee of (EUR) 50€.

As per guidelines for pharmaceutical exhibitors, during the online registration you will need to state whether you are qualified to prescribe.

The participant acknowledges that they have no right to sue the organisers for damages should the congress not be held for unexpected political or economic reasons or because of "force majeure", or should the non-appearance of speakers or other events necessitate programme changes. With their registration, the participant accepts this proviso.
