Registration Fees

The registration fee for individuals includes access to all scientific sessions and the exhibition. Onsite attendees will also receive an ESCMID Global congress bag and public transport within the city limits is also included during the event dates (Day Pass holders, Exhibitors and Exhibition Only visitors excluded). There are two different registration types, Onsite or Online, to best address your specific needs and budget. 

All price changes occur at midnight CET.

Onsite Attendance Tickets

Onsite registrations allow attendees to join ESCMID Global onsite in Vienna, Austria during the congress days as well as granting full access to the virtual congress platform. Benefit from meeting your colleagues in person and getting the most out of this networking opportunity as well as getting access to session replays, ePosters and more via the online platform.

Online registrants gain access only to the virtual congress platform where they can follow all scientific sessions which are live-streamed and recorded for replay as well as accessing all ePosters.

5 Can be purchased in advance from 6 March 2025 or at the venue on the day. The Day Pass includes access to the entire onsite programme and Exhibition on the selected day. The Exhibition only ticket is limited to the exhibition area. Transport or online access are excluded from both pass types. 

Registration includes the following for all congress participants: 

  • Admission to all scientific sessions
  • Admission to the exhibition
  • A congress bag*
  • Public transport within the city of Vienna (not included for exhibitors, exhibition visitors and day tickets)*

* Only applicable for onsite participation 

Note: Meals are not included in your registration fee. 

Please be advised that children under the age of 18 are not permitted to accompany ESCMID Global delegates. There are no tickets for accompanying persons - everyone who wishes to access the congress venue needs to have a valid congress registration.

General Information

Here are some key facts that you should know to get you started: 

  1. You need to create an ESCMID web user account (free ) or hold an ESCMID membership to register for ESCMID Global 
  2. Both onsite and online tickets are available. Onsite tickets also include access to all online material as well.
  3. ESCMID members can get discounted tickets
  4. Discounts for early bookings for both ESCMID members and non-members are available

Registrations received by email are subject to an administration surcharge of 20 EUR (€) per person. Therefore, we encourage you to use the online registration system that is safe, quick, easy and also gives you immediate confirmation along with the invoice.

Upon receipt of the registration fee, participants will receive a confirmation of registration. 

Onsite participation: 10 days prior to the congress, you will receive an email with important congress information and a barcode to print your badge onsite. Please bring this barcode with you (digitally or printed) to scan it at the pre-paid registration stations in the registration area onsite. 

Online participation: Instructions and log-in details for online access will be provided by email to registered participants at several points leading up to the congress.

A letter of invitation can be requested during the registration process. Such an invitation is intended to help potential participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment on the part of the congress to provide any financial support. The letters will be sent manually after the participant’s registration is checked to ensure they are attending in person. This process may take up to 3 working days. Invitation letters will not be issued to those registering for online access only. If you need a specific visa application letter, please see our visa application subpage.

All ESCMID Global fees are in euros (EUR, €). For individual registration, payment is only possible by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express). 

A registration is only valid after it is confirmed by email following receipt of the full payment by the indicated deadline. Outstanding payments will be collected onsite and charged at the onsite rate. A copy of the bank transfer or other proof of payment will be required if registration fees were not credited to the ESCMID Global account on time.

During your online registration, you can enter a separate invoice address if needed. Any changes of the invoice address after completing your registration incurs a processing charge of 30 EUR (€).

Changes and/or cancellations are only possible with an Onsite registration.

All cancellations must be sent to escmidregistration(at)escmid.org. Cancellations are not possible for online registrations.

Participants have the right to cancel their registration within 14 days from the receipt of the registration invoice email.  The right of withdrawal is lost if the participant attends the congress before the expiry of the right of withdrawal.

  • Name changes will incur a 50 EUR (€) fee and must be requested before 4 April 2025.
  • Changes from an Online to an Onsite registration can only be done until 4 April 2025. The difference in registration fees will need to be paid as well as a 50 EUR (€) surcharge. 

Name changes or cancellations are not possible for online registrations.

As per guidelines for pharmaceutical exhibitors, during the online registration you will need to state whether you are qualified to prescribe.

Participants are not obliged to allow exhibitors to scan their badge in the exhibition area or when entering an industry symposia. Participants must show their badge for proof of access rights, but do not need to allow a company to scan it. With allowing a company to scan your badge, you acknowledge that your registration details will be forwarded to the exhibitor.

The participant acknowledges that they have no right to sue the organisers for damages should the congress not be held for unexpected political or economic reasons or because of "force majeure", or should the non-appearance of speakers or other events necessitate programme changes. With their registration, the participant accepts this proviso.

Group and Third-party Registration

ESCMID Global also gives the option to register a third party or a group for institutions or companies to assign delegates at a later date. You can find all necessary information for this process here.

To register someone else or several people, please use the group registration link below and follow these instructions: 

  • Create an ESCMID account using your email address and your contact information. 
  • The group registration tool will walk you through the process of 3 steps: 
    • Purchase and pay tickets 
    • Add the names once you’re ready 
    • Send confirmations to your group members asking them to reconfirm their accounts 
  • You can purchase no-name tickets (please refer to the early and standard fee registration deadlines) and assign the names by 20 March 2025 the latest, or you can immediately purchase named tickets. 
  • Payments for group registrations can be made either by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) or by bank transfer (only until 20 March 2025). 
  • For bank transfer, details will be provided by email once the group registration is completed. Please ensure that the invoice number is stated on the transaction draft. Bank charges are the responsibility of the payer and should be paid in addition to the registration fees. 
  • You can mention your PO number as reference and add a separate invoice address – keep in mind that a handling fee of 30 EUR (€) will be charged if you request a change of your invoice address after having processed the registration. 
  • As soon as your delegates are added to your group, you can send them a confirmation email which also asks them to connect their ESCMID account to the registration you purchased for them. This important step is needed to grant them online access as well as access to the app and their certificate.

To register your group, you need the following information: 

  • Registration category including the necessary proofs to be uploaded 
  • Information about current ESCMID membership status if you register ESCMID members 
  • The individual email addresses for each delegate 
  • Full name 
  • Company 
  • City 
  • Country 
  • Prescriber information (stating if the delegate you register is qualified to prescribe medication in their own country) 
  • You need to accept all terms and conditions on behalf of your delegates
