In many low-income countries, up to one-third of the population suffers from superficial fungal infections, which are often underdiagnosed and inadequately treated. This course brings together regional experts, particularly from resource-limited settings, to address gaps in fungal diagnostics and treatment. Focusing on accessibility, accuracy, and the principles of P4 Mycology—prediction, prevention, participation, and personalization—the programme will provide practical tools for early diagnosis, appropriate patient selection, and evidence-based management. Through hands-on activities, case discussions, and use of the FungalCaseFinder mobile app, participants will learn to improve diagnosis and treatment of selected fungal infections, including those affecting high-risk patients.
