This 3-day, in-person postgraduate course and hands-on technical workshop offers a theoretical and practical introduction to bacteriophage therapy as an emerging solution to antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Drawing on Georgia’s decades of clinical experience—one of the few countries with a long-standing tradition of phage application—the course presents real-world insights into treating bacterial infectious diseases. Participants will engage in a dynamic program featuring lectures, interactive case discussions, and laboratory-based workshops, delivered by a diverse team of Georgian and international experts and professionals. The curriculum also includes comparative perspectives from other countries pioneering phage-based innovations, equipping attendees with the tools to integrate phage therapy into both clinical and research environments.By the end of the course, participants will gain the clinical confidence and scientific understanding needed to apply phage-based solutions in the fight against AMR.
