This two-day course explores antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) through the combined lenses of clinical pharmacology, quantitative data analysis and artificial intelligence. It brings together international speakers from France, United Kingdom, Australia and Japan to share theoretical foundations alongside applied, day-to-day stewardship practice, with a strong emphasis on the practical tools – statistical and digital – now available to support antimicrobial decision-making.
Approximately two weeks ahead of the course, participants will be asked to complete preparatory “homeworks” involving the analysis of stewardship-related data and the use of AI tools. This preparatory work will feed directly into the dedicated Day 2 session, “AI & AMS: Practical applications and homeworks,” where results will be discussed and built upon collectively.
Intended audience:
The program is intended for physicians, pharmacists, microbiologists and AMS referents who wish to strengthen both the clinical and the quantitative/digital dimensions of their practice.
Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants should be able to apply PK/PD and TDM principles to real dosing decisions, recognize the practical uses and limits of AI and IT tools in stewardship, analyze their own AMS data, and weigh the cost-efficiency of stewardship interventions.
