If you are a trainee or a young scientist in CM/ID, don’t miss the opportunity to join the TAE Virtual Round Tables on 4 November 2025 between 14:00 and 15:30 CET.
The Trainee Association of ESCMID (TAE) would like to invite you to the upcoming Virtual Round Tables, where you can meet experts in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology on specialised topics.
This format offers young professionals a unique chance to get inspiration from experts who were once in the same position at the crossroads of their career path. It also offers young professionals the perfect opportunity to establish links and network with senior experts and professionals at the start of their career.
Young scientists will get the chance to discuss their work and goals directly with the experts. Specifically, 10 renowned experts with a variety of profiles will moderate discussions in breakout rooms, each with up to eight participants. Participants can apply to the expert of their choice or topic of interest.
Date and time: 4 November 2025 from 14:00 to 15:30 CET
Location: Online (Zoom)
Schedule:
14:00 - 14:15 - Welcome and updates on TAE (news and network development)
14:15 - 14:30 - Brainstorming Session
14:30 - 15:30 - Virtual Round Tables with specialised topics (breakout rooms)
The session will then be followed by the TAE National Representatives Meeting. This meeting aims to provide a networking platform for trainees from different countries while focusing on improving CM and ID training in Europe. All TAE members are welcome as observers. The link for the meeting will be provided here at a later date.
Pre-registration is required to attend the TAE Virtual Round Tables.
Since the number of participants is limited, please only register here if you commit to attend. If you registered and cannot attend the event anymore, please inform us so that we can give the opportunity to someone else.
