EUCIC is collaborating in a Joint Action with Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections 2 (EU-JAMRAI 2) launched in February 2024. The aim is to establish a peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange programme and develop mentorship and observership programme for the coming three years (2025-2027).
Quarterly webinars are organized to address essential topics in infection prevention and control (IPC). This initiative aims to provide valuable insights in partnership with key groups working in this field.
Relevant webinars in the field of IPC from EUCIC partners can be found here.
EUCIC webinars can be found on ESCMID Media where free accounts can be created or on the EUCIC youtube channel.
Peer-to-peer (P2P) means the sharing of practices and experiences between professionals at the same level. In EU-JAMRAI 2 this means: partner-to-partner. The « peers » work collaboratively, each contributing equally to the process. Regular meetings or virtual sessions will be arranged for participants to review each other’s practices and provide constructive feedback. This may include discussions and exchanging of daily routine practices, strategic ideas, tools and materials.
You will find here a list of local P2P events not related to EU-JAMRAI 2 to which you can attend, and communication details of contact persons for each of them.
If you are in charge, or participant, of a P2P event, you can add it to the list by filling the following online form.
One aim of the EU-JAMRAI 2 WP7 is to support partners in the implementation of IPC core components at national and local level with an overarching goal to peer-to-per exchange between IPC professionals across Europe and relationship with European expert mentors. This program is carried out in close collaboration with EUCIC – the European Committee on Infection Control part of the ESCMID.
To facilitate the interactions between professionals, we propose the implementation of a mentorship program. This program would aim at allowing field-IPC professional to obtain help from peers or experts regarding practical issues. It is especially directed to isolated professionals who may not be able to interact locally with other IPC professionals.
To submit a request, please fill the form attached to this document, and send it to the contact address. We will then mobilize an expert able to help you with the issue, and let you get in touch for organizing a meeting. The form can be filled and sent by a different person than the one requesting the meeting. In such case, please add all necessary information in the request description field.
EUCIC are organising future peer-to-peer events through an online platform, virtual roundtables and peer-to-per group discussions.
The IPC Nurses Corner is a new European initiative dedicated to connecting, empowering, and supporting infection prevention and control (IPC) nurses across all healthcare settings. Developed under the umbrella of EUCIC and aligned with the goals of EU-JAMRAI 2, the network offers a professional space where nurses can grow, share, and lead — together. Participation is open to IPC nurses from Europe and beyond — working in hospitals, long-term care, ambulatory care, or community settings. Whether you are new to the role or highly experienced, this network is for you.

We invite you to take part in a survey conducted in collaboration with the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and the European Committee on Infection Control (EUCIC) of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID).
The purpose of this survey is to examine current masking policies across various healthcare systems and factors that infection prevention/control departments and hospital administrators use to make decisions regarding masking policies in healthcare settings.
The survey is brief and should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Your participation is voluntary, and all responses will remain confidential.
A consistent literature review in IPC is performed three times per year, with slides provided, 1 slide = 1 article displayed.
Publications include targeted papers created or supported by EUCIC.
The TAE invites early career professionals to the upcoming Virtual Round Tables, where you will have a unique chance to draw inspiration and advice from senior experts who were once in the same position as you.
