Typically, ERs are the first place for decisions and procedures, including the screening and isolation of patients, good practices on invasive procedures, appropriate diagnosis of infections and antimicrobial prescription. 
This module is mainly dedicated to healthcare physicians, nurses and pharmacists working in the ER setting, as well to the teams in charge of infection, prevention and control and antimicrobial stewardship.

Intended audience:  

Medical doctors and pharmacists, nurses or other healthcare professionals with an MSc or PhD are eligible, provided they completed the basic module or have experience in IPC.

Objectives: 

The main objective of the this module of the EUCIC Infection Prevention and Control Certificate, Infection Control, Antimicrobial and Diagnostic Stewardship in the Emergency Room: Simulation to enhance practice, is to give a contribution to patient quality and safety through the adoption of good practices, integrating simulation as a main component.
