  • Foster interdisciplinary and international collaboration between all disciplines involved in the field.
  • Advance research and knowledge on infections across the maternal – foetal -neonatal - paediatric continuum.
  • Promote education and training in this field, building upon European initiatives, developing training resources and supporting the dissemination of best practices.
  • Develop ESCMID-endorsed guidelines and recommendations and contribute in the field of maternal perinatal and paediatric infections.
  • Address key challenges in vaccination, including immunization strategies during pregnancy and childhood, as well as vaccine hesitancy.
  • Support early-career clinicians and researchers working in the field of maternal, fetal, neonatal and pediatric infections.
