TAE Steering Committee Election 2026
Call for Candidates
In 2026, we are looking for two (2) TAE Steering Committee members for a three-year term (from April 2027 to April 2030, after ESCMID Global).
Applicants should ensure that they meet all the following eligibility criteria at the time of election. The reference date for determining eligibility is the closing date of the election, 4 January 2027:
- Be an ESCMID Young Scientist member (YSM) or LMIC member who fulfils the YSM eligibility criteria;
- Have been an ESCMID member in good standing for at least one year (i.e. an ESCMID member since 4 January 2026 or earlier);
- Live and have their main place of work in a country located on the European continent;
- Be in training to specialise in CM or ID or attending a PhD programme in such fields when elected;
- Not have previously served as a member of the TAE Steering Committee (SC);
- Not currently be a member of an ESCMID Subcommittee or an ESCMID Study Group Executive Committee;
- Not be from the same country as a current TAE Steering Committee member. For this election, candidates from Finland, Poland, Netherlands, Romania, Egypt and Türkiye are therefore not eligible.
