Abstract Submission


For the 13th edition of the IMMEM conference we will have a regular abstract submission and a late-breaker submission.

 

We do accept abstracts in the following categories:

  1. Long read applications, metagenomics and proteomics
  2. WGS-based typing: method harmonization, applications and surveillance
  3. Mobile genetic elements (MGE), plasmids, virulence and resistance gene prediction
  4. Veterinary and One Health, new and last resort resistances
  5. Novel bioinformatics' tools and GWAS
  6. Other

 

Regular submission: 14 March - 30 April 2022

Notifications: mid-May 2022

Late-breaker submission: 30 May - 10 June 2022

 

Abstracts can be submitted by using THIS FORM

 

Please read the below guidelines carefully:

Title

Abstract titles must be submitted according to the scientific rules. This includes any special characters and special words that need to be capitalized or in italics*. Abstract titles will be proofread. Titles in ALL CAPS (other than abbreviations or acronyms) are not allowed.

*Please note that italics are not available in the submission form but will be updated if the abstract is accepted to be presented as a poster.

 

Text

Please fill your abstract text in the 4 fields of the abstract body: Background/Materials/Results/Conclusions

Please make sure that you don’t exceed more than 350 words, while a single field should not be longer than 200 words.

 

Pictures/Graphs/Tables

Authors may include a maximum of 3 pictures or graphs or tables. Please use the upload function in the submission form.

 

Keywords

Please include 3 keywords, that will be used to tag your work in the online library, if chosen for presentation.

 

Submit your abstract

Please note that you cannot save the abstract during submission. Please make sure to collect all material in the beginning, before submitting your abstract. Once submitted, the abstract cannot be changed anymore. If you need to input changes after the submission, you need to resubmit the abstract.

 

After the submission, you will receive a confirmation email.

 

Please make sure your have all the rights to submit this abstract, including but not limited to the approval of co-authors.

 

Final check and certification

Please ensure that the presenting author’s name is correct upon submission. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure that this is kept up to date, in case of changes. Following IMMEM XIII, a certificate of presentation will be sent to the presenting author only. The presenting author is then responsible for disseminating this certificate amongst any co-authors.

 

Certificates will not be awarded to authors that are not present during their poster session at IMMEM XIII, or whose posters do not comply with the requirements for size and format. For those with an oral presentation, the presentation slides must be stored on the Presentation computer, in order for a certificate to be awarded.

 

Letter of acceptance

By submitting your abstract to IMMEM XIII you accept to have the data and your and your co-authors name listen and published in all related conference material, such as the website, the printed and the online programme, the abstract book. ESCMID does not share your email or physical address.
