Event Description:
This meeting will include review papers and original research on the most important mycoplasma diseases including human atypical pneumonia and reproductive disorders; the OIE listed contagious bovine pleuropneumoniae, contagious agalactia and the avian mycoplasmoses; and the increasingly important bovine mycoplasmas. Presentations will cover new and traditional diagnostic and molecular typing and sequencing methods for mycoplasmas. The problem of antibiotic resistance in humans and livestock and recent advances in vaccine development will be discussed. Poster sessions will be held.
