The International Workshop on Pathogenesis and Host Response in Helicobacter Infections is a basic science workshop which is held biannual in Helsingor, Denmark. The main areas of science are pathogenesis and immunology in both human and non-human helicobacters. It covers basic science and not clinical science. Main subjects are animal models, human and animal humeral and cellular immune response to helicobacters, virulence factors, metabolism, adherence and other pathogenic factors as well as genetic investigations related to these subjects.

Attendance Grants
ESCMID provides a number of attendance grants for young attendees (below the age of 35) covering the registration fee, but no travel or accommodation costs. Please submit your application until 20 May 2010. Please include a short CV with a cover letter indicating your motivation for attending the event and your ESCMID membership number (if applicable). If there are more applicants than available grants, preference will be given to ESCMID members. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by 3 June 2010.
