Trainee Association of ESCMID (TAE) Steering Committee

In 2020 we are looking for new TAE Steering Committee (TAE SC) members with a background in Infectious Diseases. The resulting vacancies for a three-year term (January 2021- December 2023) are to be filled with new members who will be elected in July/August 2020. The call for candidates is open from Tuesday 23 June until Thursday, 23 July 2020, 12.00 noon CET. Voting for candidates will then take place from 30 July until 27 August 2020, 12.00 noon CET. Selected candidates are asked to attend TAE Autumn Meeting 2020 which will be held online in Autumn 2020 (Dates T.B.D.)

Applicants should ensure that they meet the following criteria at the time of election (reference date is closing day of election):

  • Must be an ESCMID Young Scientist Member (YSM) below 35 years
  • ESCMID Young Scientist Members between 35 and 40 are not eligible for this call
  • ESCMID YSM who are in PhD training but not in a clinical ID training are not eligible to apply.
  • Are in training to specialise in ID when elected
  • Have not previously been a member of the TAE Steering Committee (SC)
  • Are not a member of any ESCMID Subcommittee or ESCMID Study Group Executive committee 
  • Are not from the same country as current TAE members (The Netherlands, France, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Portugal).
