1. Resume

Short summary of skills, experience and career objective

I am a motivated and dedicated microbiologist with extensive experience in virology and immunology. I am a research enthusiast for everything related to infectious diseases, though I have more experience in viro-immunology of cytomegalovirus and other herpesviruses. At present I am in the final year of my PhD in Immunology at The University of Queensland/QIMR Berghofer, in Australia, where I am investigating the impact of cytomegalovirus infection after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation using both an in vitro and in vivo (murine models) approach. My technical skills span from cell biology, to molecular biology (PCR, RNA-seq), immunology (ELISA, ELISPOT, flow cytometry), animal handling and experimentation (mouse).
I have also several years of teaching experience, acquired as a lecturer of microbiology at the University of Padova, Italy (2011-2016), and as tutor/lab demonstrator at The University of Queensland, Australia (2018-2019).
Being in the final year of my PhD, I am now looking for career opportunities in virology/microbiology or immunology.
