Educational activities
ESCMID strongly supports individuals active in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases with their postgraduate and continuing medical education (CME). You can benefit from diverse formats:
Postgraduate Courses and Workshops
Two- to four-day events that focus on specific clinical or laboratory issues. Organizers can be ESCMID Study Groups, related professional societies or individual ESCMID members under the auspices and with the financial support of ESCMID. These events are open for everyone interested in the fields of clinical microbiology or infectious diseases.
Summer School
An interactive one-week course dedicated to postgraduate and continuous medical education in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. A high faculty-student ratio as well as student case presentations and pro-con sessions are some the Summer School features that make it so popular.
It targets young MDs at the end of their specialty training, pharmacists and biologists, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows working in the infection field.
The 2022 ESCMID Summer School will be held in Rome, Italy from 02-09 July 2022.
