If you are a trainee or a young scientist in CM/ID, don’t miss the opportunity to join the TAE Virtual Round Tables on 4 January 2024, between 11:00 and 12:30 CET.

The Trainee Association of ESCMID would like to invite you to the upcoming Virtual Round Tables, where you can meet experts in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology on Specialized topic.

This format offers young professionals a unique chance to get inspiration from experts who were once in the same position, at the crossroads of their career path. It also offers the perfect opportunity to strengthen links between senior experts and professionals at the start of their career.

Young scientists will get the chance to discuss their work and goals directly with the experts. Specifically, 10 renowned experts with a variety of profiles will moderate discussions in separate breaking rooms with up to 8 participants. Each participant can apply for the expert of their choice to talk about a specialized topic of interest.

Date and time: 4 January 2024, 11:00-12:30 CET

Location: Online (Zoom conferencing)

11:00 - 11:15 CET - Welcoming and updates on TAE (news and network development)

11:15 - 11:30 CET - Brainstorming Session

11:30 - 12:30 CET - Round Tables with specialized topics (break-out rooms)

The session will then be followed by the TAE National Representatives Meeting. This meeting aims to provide a networking platform for trainees from different countries while focusing on improving ID and CM training in Europe. All TAE members are welcomed as observers. Pre-registration is required to attend the TAE Virtual Round Table.

Registration is free and open to all ESCMID Young Scientist Members and LMIC Members fulfilling the criteria of the Young Scientist Membership.

Since the number of participants is limited, please only register here if you committ to attend. If you registered and cannot attend the event anymore, plese inform us so that we can give the opportunity to join to someone else.

Registration will open on 15.11.2023 at 12PM (noon) CET and will close on 13.12.2023 at 12PM (noon) CET. If the session is fully booked before the deadline, registration will be closed at an earlier date. We will create a waiting list for up to 20 participants in case of last-minute cancellations.
