Objectives
A group of 20 observers are offered a 5-day programme at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna, Stockholm County, Sweden.

European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna, Sweden
Eligibility criteria
- Full, LMIC or Young Scientist ESCMID members
- Hold a relevant degree in infectious diseases and/or public health
- Applicants must be 45 years-of-age or younger
- Applicants must be early-to mid-career scientists with a maximum of 10 years years of full-time employment (not including training)
- No previous ESCMID Observership visit within the last 24 months
- Have not participated in a previous ESCMID-ECDC observership visit
- Applicants must have a proven interest in public health, e.g. degree, research interest and/or experience
- Applicants must have a strong interest in the ECDC/public health fields

Report
After the visit, the Observer will be required to complete the official evaluation forms including a report to be published on the ESCMID Collaborative Centre website or in other ESCMID publications (including the name of Observers).
