Public Consultation Phase

ESCMID opens a Public Consultation Phase (PCP) among ESCMID members prior to endorse any guidance document. This procedure has the dual aim of ensuring that ESCMID scientific standards are adequately met, and that ESCMID position as a whole is represented.

ESCMID members wishing to comment on a manuscript under PCP, should write to guidancedocuments[at]escmid.org to receive the confidential manuscript to be reviewed. By doing so, they commit to confidentiality and to respond within the deadline.

They will receive the template to register comments on the draft manuscript, which can be also downloaded here.

In order to evaluate quality of the guidance document, we also ask reviewers to complete the AGREE GLOBAL RATING SCALE.

More information about the AGREE II tool can be found here.
