Central Asian and Eastern European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance network

The CAESAR (Central Asian and Eastern European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance) network is a joint initiative of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and WHO/Europe, to survey, contain and prevent emergence and spread of antibiotic resistance in the European Region. ESGARS is representing ESCMID in the steering committee and the project group of the network, and CAESAR is the result of a previous ESGARS study group project.

European Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance network

The European Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance network (EARS-Net) is a Europe-wide network of national surveillance systems, providing reference data on antimicrobial resistance for public health purposes, in the form of an interactive database. The network is organised by the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC).
