ESCMID/WHO Observerships

Objectives
A group of 10 observers are offered a 2 day programme at the WHO Regional Office for Europe, Division of Health Emergencies & Communicable Diseases (DEC) in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Eligibility criteria
- Full or Young Scientist ESCMID members
- Hold a relevant degree in infectious diseases, clinical microbiology and/or public health
- No previous ESCMID Observership visit within the last 12 months
- Have not participated in a previous ESCMID-WHO observership visit
- Applicants must have a proven interest in public health, e.g. degree, research interest and/or experience
- Applicants must have a strong interest in the WHO/public health fields

Report
After the visit, the Observer will be required to complete the official evaluation forms including a report to be published on the ESCMID Collaborative Centre website or in other ESCMID publications (including the name of Observers).
