Course Objectives
  • Provide participants with updated background information and a practical approach to the emerging problem of infections in mobile populations, including travel and migration.
  • Through interactive sessions, participants will have the opportunity to discuss different practical problems with leading experts in the field.
  • Education of healthcare workers from different background on how to create and execute an efficient preventive programme in their own settings.
  • Raising awareness about migration as a risk factor for infectious diseases through interactive sessions for specific groups.

30 – 50 infectious disease physicians, clinical microbiologists, epidemiologists, paediatricians, occupational health and sports medicine specialists and other physicians (especially trainees who are interested in the study of health issues in migrant populations and migrant workers/travellers).
