ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award


 

Purpose
The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award is to recognize an outstanding abstract on a sepsis-related topic submitted to ECCMID.


Funding
USD 500 is awarded.


Eligibility criteria
The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award is conditional upon the acceptance of an abstract. Eligible are presenting authors of an abstract on a sepsis-related topic submitted for ECCMID and registered for ECCMID attendance.
Members of the ISF and ESCMID Executive Committees are ineligible.

 

Council members of the ISF are ineligible as last or first authors.


Application procedure
Please submit your abstract through the ECCMID website, during the regular or late-breaker abstract submission periods.
The ISF Steering Committee will select the award-winning abstracts from the abstracts eligible for acceptance.
The awardee will be notified of the decision following the announcement of included abstracts. Please refrain from inquiring on the status before this date.


Presentation and announcement of the award
The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award is presented during a symposium jointly arranged by the ISF and the ECCMID Programme Committee. The awardee must be present and give a short oral presentation on her/his research after the award ceremony. His/her name and the title of the project will be published in the Final Programme of ECCMID, the ESCMID Yearbook and on the ESCMID website.
