|ESCMID supports Longitude Prize to help fight antibiotic resistance|
ESCMID encourages its members to take part in the Longitude Prize, a challenge with a £10 million prize fund aimed at conserving antibiotics for future generations. The prize will be awarded to any competitor who can develop a point-of-care diagnostic test that will identify when antibiotics are needed and which to use. Applicants may submit their entry for the first assessment period until 31 May. There will be another chance in four months’ time.
You do not need to be a British organization to compete. You can find more details about the prize criteria here. To submit your entry you have to register as a competitor on the Longitude Prize website.
