WEEKLY NEWS

Dear colleagues,

The ESCMID Study Group for Antibiotic Policies (ESGAP) and the ESCMID Study Group for Bloodstream Infections and Sepsis (ESGBIS) are launching the ESGAP/ESGBIS bloodstream infection survey to explore current practices regarding the management of bacteraemia/candidaemia. To read more about it, check out ESGAP’s website and click here to participate.

Please also support two surveys that are being conducted by colleagues at affiliated research institutes:

  • The Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp is asking microbiologists, medical doctors, pharmacists and nurses at hospitals in low- or middle-income countries to take part in a survey on antibiotic stewardship.
  • The Infectious Diseases Research Group at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS) is conducting a survey to find out how you use multiplex PCR panels for the identification of viruses as etiologic agents of community-acquired pneumonia in daily clinical practice.

Best regards, your ESCMID communications editors
