Integrated symposium at the 31st European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, 2021

What are the treatment options
for CAP and cSSTI in 2021?

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the Pfizer ECCMID 2021 satellite symposium, What are the treatment options for CAP and cSSTI in 2021?, to be held on Sunday 11 July at 16:15–18:15 (CEST).

Given the 2019 American Thoracic Society/Infectious Diseases Society of America (ATS/IDSA) guidelines and the culmination of all the latest clinical evidence, this integrated symposium will focus on the contemporary treatment options in the care of complex patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). The expert panel will also discuss treatment recommendations for complicated skin and soft-tissue infections (cSSTI).

Through clinical case studies and expert appraisal of evidence, attendees will gain a deep appreciation of the rationale behind the latest guideline recommendations, including the challenges these infections present for antimicrobial resistance and the critical role that both antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and health economics can play, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event.
