Apply to become an ESCMID Mentor – call now open!

ESCMID is launching the ESCMID Mentorship Programme. The aim is to give members an opportunity to benefit from mentoring by experts in the fields of Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and/or Infection Control. The call for Mentors is now open. The institution of the mentor will be designated the ESCMID Mentorship Centre (EMC).
To become a mentor – apply now. To apply for a mentorship you have to wait until April 2015.

Final Programme of ECCMID 2015 is now organised

The Programme Committee of ECCMID 2015 met in Munich to finalise the programme as well as to allocate abstracts to sessions. We will be working on the final touches over Christmas and speakers, abstract submitters and chairpersons will be notified in early January. Do not forget to take advantage of the early bird registration fee by registering before 13 January 2015!

67 successful Observership visits until end October 2014

Twenty of these were held at WHO and ECDC. For the rest of 2014, 21 visits are still planned and 23 are already decided for 2015. 98% of Observers rated their visits as “excellent” and the remaining 2% as “good”.
Observers can now visit two new ECCs in Beijing and Shanghai, China.
