WEEKLY NEWS

Dear colleagues,

Researchers within the ESCMID network are undertaking a number of initiatives that will feature during World Antibiotic Awareness Week from 13 – 19 November 2017 and during European Antibiotic Awareness Day on 18 November 2017. ESCMID has been active in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) since its foundation in 1983. Over the past 12 months it has initiated a number of projects. You can access a selection of ESCMID AMR activities on ESCMID’s dedicated AMR web page.

ESCMID’s Parity Commission needs your help to collect information on how mobility involves clinical microbiologists and infectious diseases specialists, and to identify possible inequality mechanisms expatriate professionals are exposed to. The commission would like to interview specialists who have in the past been or are currently working in another European country. Thank you to all those who already responded to the initial call last month, and if youŽd like to be a part of it, click here.

Best regards, your ESCMID communications editors
