Event description:
Purpose: Bring together educational institutions, governments, the diagnostic industry and pharmaceutical industries, international organizations and major donors to:

• Share the major problems associated with fungal infections.
• Contrast the burden of certain fungal diseases and impact against other priorities.
• Identify key roadblocks to progress:
  - Partial or total lack of and access to diagnostics
  - Lack of good epidemiological data
  - Lack of quality of life measures of disability and mortality
  - Lack of public health investment
  - Unavailability and un-affordability of antifungal drugs
  - Non or limited availability of trained staff
• Develop a global roadmap for progress over 10 years.
