Event Description:
The workshop will focus on major Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens for which therapeutic choices have been progressively reducing over the last years. The role of susceptibility breakpoints in detecting resistance will be analyzed, and residual treatment options with either single agents or drug combinations will be reviewed. Possible measures for infection control and spreading containment will also be discussed.

Attendance Grants:
ESCMID provides a number of attendance grants preferentially given to ESCMID “young scientist members”. The grant covers the registration fee, but not travel or accommodation costs. Please apply online before 31 March 2014. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by 14 April 2014.
