9th International Symposium on the Biology of Acinetobacter

19.06.2013 - 21.06.2013 All day

The genus Acinetobacter comprises nosocomial pathogens such as A. baumannii and A. nosocomialis and environmental bacteria such as A. calcoaceticus. The increasing importance of A. baumannii as the paradigm of a multidrug resistant, often untreatable hospital pathogen has drawn the attention of the scientific community to these organisms. The aim of the International Symposium on the Biology of Acinetobacter is to bring together microbiologists and clinicians, to stimulate discussion and collaboration, and to provide an international forum to discuss all major aspects of the genus Acinetobacter. Another important goal is to encourage students and young scientists to present their data and discuss these with experts.

Attendance Grants
ESCMID provides a number of attendance grants for ESCMID “young scientist members”. The grant covers the registration fee, but not travel or accommodation costs. Please apply here before 31 December 2012. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by 31 January 2013.
