Description:
The aim of this initiative is to organize an international course focused on antibiotherapy and its impact on gut microbiota. Progress in knowledge of gut microbiota has been enormous after implementation of new tools to get insights in its complexity and gut microbiota is becoming a key player in a number of diseases. While antibiotherapy allowed to cure many infectious diseases and to improve the populations' health, it now appears that its dark side, i.e. the impact on gut microbiota, has been neglected. This topic has not been addressed in detail in courses designed to bring information on gut microbiota.
