Course Objectives

Brucellosis is a worldwide zoonotic infection, is still a health problem in many countries and endemic in the Mediterranean and Middle East regions. This course will focus on epidemiology, diagnosis, clinical presentations, treatment options and prevention of brucellosis.

Target Audience

Infectious disease physicians and fellows, clinical microbiologists, or public health physicians, interested in the field of brucellosis. A total of 50 – 60 participants will be accepted.

ESCMID or KLIMIK members: EUR 350
Non-members: EUR 450
The fee includes participation to the scientific sessions, printed conference material with CD, coffee breaks and welcome reception. Travel and accommodation costs are not included.

Attendance Grants

ESCMID provides a number of attendance grants for young attendees (born in 1970 or later) covering the registration fee, but no travel or accommodation costs. Please submit your application until March 1, 2010. Please include a short CV with a cover letter indicating your motivation for attending the event and your ESCMID or KLIMIK membership number (if applicable). If there are more applicants than available grants, preference will be given to ESCMID/KLIMIK members. Applicants will be informed about their acceptance by March 10, 2010.
