Professional Affairs

Visit the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen, 18 - 20 June 2013

ESCMID and WHO Europe invite ESCMID members (5 clinical microbiologists and/or infectious disease specialists) from 5 different countries to visit the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark. This special 3-day programme will give the ESCMID observers an insight into the organisation and its communicable disease programmes. Applications accepted from 2 to 10 May 2013.

Post-doctoral position open at University of Barcelona

The position is in the field of next-generation sequencing and bioinformatic analysis. A detailed description can be found on our website.

6th International Day for Fighting Infection

On 23 April 2013 the 6th annual St. George's Day will be celebrated in Verona. Speakers from ECDC and WHO will be present. The conference is free-of-charge and no registration is necessary. Join us!

Back to (ESCMID) Summer School!

Gain valuable knowledge in CM and ID - meet experts - network with and learn from colleagues from all over the world! This ever-popular event is in Vravrona, Greece, from 6 – 13 July 2013. Registration and grant applications are accepted until 10 May 2013.

New! ePosters at ECCMID 2013, Berlin

For the first time interactive ePoster sessions will be offered on various hot topics. In total we will have 12 interactive sessions. Each ePoster session will be visible the full day of the presentation on four ePoster terminals. Authors will be at the ePoster terminal during the session. More information is available on the ECCMID website.

ESCMID welcomes two new Study Groups: ESGBIS & ESGITM

These groups start their activities in the fields of bloodstream infections & sepsis (ESGBIS) and infections in travellers & migrants (ESGITM).

The invitation and agenda for the upcoming Assembly of Members is now available. On Monday 29 April 2013 from 18:15-19.45 important topics will be presented and decisions made. The Executive Committee invites you to attend and get involved. To attend you need to be an ESCMID member!
