The online system for abstract submission for ECCMID 2016 is available now

As of today, you may submit your abstracts for ECCMID 2016 in Istanbul. The abstract guidelines and the newly defined abstract topics can be found on the ECCMID website. Deadline for the submission is 29 November 2015.

You may now nominate new TAE candidates and apply for a TAE Award

We are now accepting nominations for two new members, one in clinical microbiology and one in infectious diseases, for the Trainee Association of ESCMID Steering Committee (TAE SC) until 29 September at 12.00 CET. The elections will take place later in the autumn 2015.

Young scientists may also apply for a TAE Award for Training Achievements. The applicants must be ESCMID members born on or after 10 November 1980. The award is intended to recognize and reward outstanding trainees in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. For more information, please check out the information on the TAE award.

Check out the EPASG study group’s newsletter and its new study grant

The newsletter of the ESCMID PK/PD of Anti-Infectives Study Group for example includes a review of its activities, a call for researchers interested in contributing to a paper reviewing the role of infection models and PK/PD modeling on optimizing patient care as well as more detail on the new EPASG Study Grant. The grant is intended to foster collaboration across laboratories and help mentoring of young investigators who may wish to spend some time as an observer in a laboratory that can provide additional education/training that is not locally available. The grants are available for up to Euro 1,000. You may apply   for a 2015/16 grant until 31 October. For more information, please check out the group’s newsletter.
