ECCMID 2016 Website now open

Since the beginning of July you may access the website for the 26th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 9 - 12 April 2016. For ECCMID 2016, the Programme Committee is preparing keynote lectures, symposia, educational workshops and meet-the-expert sessions. All the latest developments in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases will be covered.

Call for Research Grant 2016 applications now open

The Research Grant programme for 2016 is focused on bacterial infections & diseases, including pathogenesis, diagnostics, antibacterial susceptibility & resistance, antibacterial stewardship and vaccines. For 2016 we will not consider applications in other fields. With this thematic limitation we intend to increase the acceptance rate. Application deadline: 7 October 2015.

A record number of applicants for this year’s Summer School

This year’s ESCMID Summer School, taking place in Istanbul, Turkey, from 4-11 July, is very popular. We received a record number of 72 applications. The one-week course covers a broad range of topics in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases and is targeting young MDs finalizing their specialty training but also biologists, pharmacists, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows working in the fields of infections and microbiology.
