ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award

The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award 2012 is to recognise an outstanding abstract on a sepsis topic submitted to the 22nd ECCMID 2012.

EUR 500 are awarded.

The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award is conditional upon the acceptance of an abstract. Applicants must be

• the presenting author of an abstract on a sepsis topic submitted for the 22nd ECCMID
• born on or after 1 January 1972 and
• registered for ECCMID attendance.

Members of the ISF and of the ESCMID Executive Committee are ineligible.

Please submit your abstract first - abstracts will be accepted in September 2011. The deadline for abstract submission is 14 November 2011.

Then, please submit your application by email.
The deadline for applying for the ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award is 15 December 2011.

Your application must include:

1. A short application letter including your name, date and place of birth, professional affiliation, address, email address, telephone and fax numbers, main research interests

2. A copy of the successfully submitted abstract, please indicate the number you received after submission

3. A colour photograph as tiff, eps or jpg file at least 4x6 cm with 300 dpi resolution.

The ISF Steering Committee will select the awardee. Applicants will be notified of the decision in February 2012. Please refrain from inquiring on the status of your application before this date.

The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award 2011 will be presented during the Symposium jointly arranged by the ISF and the ECCMID Programme Committee. The awardee must be present and give a short oral presentation on his research after the award ceremony. His/her name and the title of the project will be published in the final programme of the 22nd ECCMID2012, the ESCMID Yearbook and on the ESCMID website.
