You are a young scientist and would like to attend the 22nd ECCMID in London? We will be accepting applications in September 2011 for these grants.
Purpose
Up to 150 young scientists, who wish to attend the 22nd ECCMID in London, will be supported with a travel grant and/or free registration.
Funding
A travel grant will include full registration to the Congress and a travel allowance amounting to EUR 500 (paid in cash onsite against presentation of an identity card or passport).
Eligibility criteria
Travel grants and free registrations are both conditional upon the acceptance of an abstract. Applicants must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted for the 22nd ECCMID and be born on or after 1 January 1972.
Application procedure
The application deadline for submission for an ECCMID Travel Grant was 15 November 2011 CET. You will be able to apply for grants for the 2013 ECCMID in London in starting September 2012.
The grantees are selected based on a blind peer-review of abstracts. Applicants will be notified of the decision in the spring of 2012 for the London meeting. Please refrain from inquiring on the status of your application before this date.
Publication
The names of successful applicants may be published on www.escmid.org and other ESCMID publications.
