ESCMID European Council
The ESCMID European Council is made up of European specialist societies that have signed an affiliation agreement with ESCMID. Its objective is to promote the wider interests of both organizations. It shall strengthen the cooperation among the European specialist societies in the field of human infection and foster the advancement of science, education and professional affairs across Europe. Affiliated societies are normally represented by their presidents. Affiliation is subject to approval by the Executive Committee. The European Council meets during the annual congress of the Society.
The members of affiliated societies are entitled to subscribe to Clinical Microbiology and Infection at a preferential rate and to receive the monthly ESCMID Online News by email through the headquarters of their parent organization. Affiliated societies can also send information about their events, which will be published in the Calendar of Events on the ESCMID website.
An affiliation application form can be downloaded from this webpage. Annual affiliation fee per society: EUR 50 (< 300 members), EUR 100 (300 to 1000 members) or EUR 250 (> 1000 members).
