7th Framework Programme

The Seventh EU Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) was launched at the end of 2006 with a budget of approximately EUR 50 billion covering the period 2007 to 2013.

Health Call
Call for proposals published

The health call for proposals consists of two subcalls: one single-stage and one two-stage proposal submission. For the detailed description of the research topics see the work programmes on the Cordis website.

This action aims to improve early-stage researchers' career prospects in both the public and private sectors, thereby making research careers more attractive to young people. The action will be implemented by supporting competitively selected networks of organisations from different countries engaged in research training.

IAPP is a Marie Curie Action that aims to foster co-operation between commercial and non-commercial research organizations on a joint R&D project (e.g. staff exchange programme of researchers and managers; networking activities).

The Starting Independent Researcher Grant funds frontier research in all scientific and technological areas carried out by individual teams.
Deadline for Life Sciences: 9 November 2010

These grants target established top research leaders.

IMI is a Joint Technology Initiative which is a new element of EU's 7th Research Framework Programme. IMI supports new public-private partnerships for a fast development of better medicines. Infectious Diseases is listed with one topic: 'Improve the scientific and pre-clinical infrastructure for Tuberculosis medicine'. The call for proposals is expected to be published in autumn 2010. ESCMID will keep you informed.
