Course Objectives

The course will provide participants with updated background information and a practical approach to the emerging problem of antibiotic resistance and its influence on healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). Through interactive sessions participants will have the possibility to discuss practical problems with leading experts in the field.

Target Audience

The organizing committee will accept applications from all clinical microbiologists and infectious disease physicians, especially trainees, who are interested in the study of antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections, and/or who are (or intend to be) members of Hospital Infection Control Committees. The maximum number of course participants is 32.
