Course Objectives
The course will provide an update on current infectious diseases in the Mediterranean and the Middle East with emphasis on viral, bacterial and parasitic infections with changing epidemiology, diagnosis and management.
Viral infections will include the spread of the novel Coronavirus and the avian influenza H5N1 and CCHF. The problems of multiresistant bacteria will be covered both from management and hospital infection control perspectives,
and molecular surveillance will be reviewed.
