Course Objectives
The course will provide participants with updated background information and a practical approach to the emerging problem of antibiotic resistance and its influence on healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). Through interactive sessions, participants will have the possibility to discuss practical problems with leading experts in the field.
Target Audience
Up to 40 clinical microbiologists and infectious disease physicians, especially trainees, who are interested in the study of antimicrobial resistance and HCAI, and/or who are (or intend to be) members of Hospital Infection Control Committees.
